Let me start off by saying you’re never too old for cosplay. I am 28 years old. Yes, I am 28 and proud to cosplay. Of course I have received negative remarks from some of my family and people who don’t know about cosplay, but I don’t give a f***! Why I don’t care is because cosplay makes me happy. I been attending conventions since 2007, and I will continue to attend until I am old and gray. I have met some amazing people through cons and I truly believe cosplay keeps people young at heart. I saw a older couple who were cosplaying Wilma and Fred from the Flintstones. I thought they were so cute and asked to take a picture. They were so sweet. They told me they love cosplay and conventions and how they felt so welcomed by the community. That warmed my heart to hear. I know their are some people who feel the opposite of older cosplayers, but that’s for another story. When I get older I definitely will cosplay Genkai from Yu Yu Hakusho. She is one bad ass older lady.
