Random Anime facts.

I was online and came across facts from different anime series.  I just want to share a few anime facts that made me go

1. The anime Code Geass was funded by Pizza Hut.  Explains why most of the characters liked pizza.  The pizza hut logo was removed in the English dub, but the Pizza hut mascot of Japan can be seen in the show. 

2.  The Titans are based off of  drunks from ‘Attack on Titan’.  Creator, Hajime Isayama encountered a drunk customer at a internet café.  This odd experience inspired him to create the terrifying creatures of Attack On Titan.

3. ‘Your name’ is the highest grossing anime film.  This movie surpassed Studio Ghibli’s Spirited Away as the highest grossing anime film worldwide.  Spirited Away previously brought in $289 million box office, while Your name brought in $355 million.

4. The authors of ‘Sailor Moon’ and ‘Yu Yu Hakusho’ are married.  Naoko Takeuchi, author of Sailor Moon, and Yoshiro Togashi, author of Yu Yu Hakusho got married on January 6, 1999.

5. ‘Bleach’ was on the verge of not happening.  The series almost didn’t make it to the Shonen Jump Magazine where it was originally  pitched.  Creator Tite Kubo submitted the series to the publisher, it was rejected due to the magazine already having a full schedule.  Dragon Ball creator, Akira Toriyama wrote a letter to Kubo, encouraging him to continue his work on Bleach.
